About Me

I am a graduate of  Wesleyan University  (1991, B.A., honors, psychology) and Stanford Law School (1996, Juris Doctor).  For more than seven years, I practiced law a corporate litigator at two major international law firms in New York City and Paris, France.  As much as I enjoyed practicing law, I always knew that writing was my true passion.  And so, taking a deep breath, I packed away my legal dictionaries, hung up my corporate suits, and embarked on an exciting new career.

Since becoming a freelance writer in 2006, I have written on a number of subjects, but specialize in lifestyle, travel, expatriate issues and, of course, legal topics.  My work has been published in numerous magazines and websites, including The Writer, German Life, Renaissance, History Magazine, USAToday.com, AOLTravel.com, LegalZoom.com, and more.  In addition, I have provided content for numerous professional blogs, drafted press releases, complaint letters, résumés, and edited writings of every variety, from PhD dissertations to website legal disclaimers.

In addition to writing for clients, I am writing non-fiction book on intercultural wedding planning.  The project was inspired by the experience of planning my own African-American/German wedding.  I also maintain a blog, “Petit Paris” which features things to do with kids in and around Paris.
